Episode 07: Nonna’s favorite

Julian Mancuso

Julian Mancuso is a Berlin-based culinary entrepreneur, chef, recipe developer, and food stylist- but his roots are in Canada. With his catering company "Ada's Hot Deli & Alimentari," he brings forth a fusion of Canadian and Italian recipes, to be precise from Sicily, Lazio, and Abruzzo, which he learned from his two remarkable grandmothers, Ada and Gina. Julian grew up with them and absorbed the essence of authentic Italian home cooking. His culinary journey began as a child, observing and participating in the traditional preparation of pasta dishes like Cavatelli, Gnocchi, and Ravioli, using fresh ingredients from Ada's garden. During the recording with him, Arlene realized she must know some of Julian's family from Toronto. Tune in!
